2012 Cadillac CTS Coupe & CTS-V Coupe

Pros: Eye catching style; Sporty handling; Available all-wheel drive on CTS Coupe

Cons: Dated interior; Hard seats; Small interior; Limited visibility due to its styling

Unlike other coupes, the 2012 CTS Coupe will grab your attention and won’t let go with its edgy and daring profile. It’s also classy at the same time. It’s sophisticated. It’s unmistakably a Cadillac.

The CTS Coupe has all of the features you would expect for the price. The rear seat is tight, but most coupe buyers won’t mind. There are also plenty of soft touch materials to go around that are accented by handsome wood trims.

This year, Cadillac has raised the stakes. The CTS Coupe’s standard 3.6L V6 is more powerful and delivers 318 hp. Stepping up to the CTS-V Coupe will give you a 6.2L supercharged V8 that produces a stupefying 556 hp. Both models are lively and offer a buttoned-down suspension with good body control and communicative steering.

No matter how you slice it, determining if this is the right coupe for you really comes down to your personal tastes. It looks good and it is powerful however you will have to give up interior space, and refinement. Its slicked back profile also makes for poor visibility. I have found with many coupes that it is either or, unless you pay a hefty premium.
