Overview
If you are looking for a full-size luxury SUV than look no further as the Cadillac Escalade is one of the last full-size luxury SUV’s available on the market. It not only provides buyers with loads of premium amenities, it provides tons of interior space and towing ability. So, if you have the need to tow trailers or full loads of people but want a true luxury experience, than the Escalade is right up your alley.

No matter which version you pick, the Escalade’s ride is plush but somewhat bouncy. All models are equipped with a thirsty V8 that delivers swift acceleration at all speeds. The Hybrid slightly improves its fuel economy with a 6.2L V8 that delivers approximately 20 mpg city and 23 mpg highway. Those numbers still are far from the top however it’s a 40 percent increase over the gasoline-only Escalade.

Yes, there are a number of more sensible vehicles out there, but they are no match for the Escalade’s visual presence of wealth and power. Its third row seat is cramped and uncomfortable and must be physically removed in the case that you need the extra cargo space but let’s face it, who actually buys an Escalade for its third-row seating and cargo capacity?

Body Styles, Trims & Options
Standard equipment found on the 2012 Escalade includes 18-inch alloy wheels, a power liftgate, fog lamps, an enhanced navigation system, premium headlights, three months of satellite radio and Bluetooth connectivity. Options include a sunroof, power-retractable running boards, a heated steering wheel, power-folding second-row seats and 22-inch alloy wheels.

The ESV includes the same equipment as the standard Escalade but you get more cargo space due to its longer wheel base. A sunroof, heated steering wheel, power-retractable running boards and power-folding second-row seats are also optional.

The EXT includes most of the premium goodies that are found in the other Escalade models. You gain the truck bed for more hauling capability but beecause of this, you will lose items such as the rear seats, rear climate control and power liftgate. 18-inch alloy wheels are standard while the 22-inch multi-spoke wheels are optional on the EXT.

The Escalade Hybrid model includes the full complement of luxury gear just like the other models however you will receive no-soy foam seats with recycled cloth upholstery and a lower towing capacity of nearly 6,000 pounds when properly equipped. That’s nearly 2,000 pounds less than the standard Escalade model.

Safety
Standard safety features on all models include daytime running lights, StabiliTrak vehicle stability enhancement system, traction control, a tire pressure monitoring system, rear park assist, OnStar automatic crash response system, and a full array of airbag with a driver and front passenger sensing system. A side blind zone alert system is standard on higher trim levels.

Warranty Information
Every new 2012 Cadillac has got you covered with a Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty for 4 years or 50,000 miles, a Powertrain Limited Warranty for 5 years or 100,000 miles and 24-hour Roadside Assistance for 5 years or 100,000 miles.
