2014 Kia Soul


In this edition of Car Coach, YNN’s Lauren Fix takes a closer look at the 2014 Kia Soul.

The 2014 KIA Soul is powered by a 2.0 Liter GDI enigine with a 164 hp. It earns 23 miles per gallon in the city, or 31 miles per gallon on the highway with a 6-speed automatic transmission. There is also a more fuel efficient 1.6 Liter engine that produces 24 miles per gallon in the city and 30 miles per gallon on the highway.

It’s offered in an automatic and manual transmission. Both run on regular fuel, prices start at $14,700, with a 10 year or 100,000 mile warranty.

The test drive vehicle was the all-new 2014 Kia Soul. It’s still playful, but it’s a sophisticated vehicle with soft touch materials throughout, a designer steering wheel, and high quality textures.

The vehicle includes the Kia UVO system, their info-tainment system offers an 8″ screen that controls are similar to that of a smart phone with an Infinity 10-speaker sound, subwoofer and Aha Radio and Pandora apps.

On the road the Soul has a quieter ride, and is fun and easy to drive. There are seven new colors including the popular Alien green. Special models available are Red Zone and Umber.
