2015 NSRA Nationals Early Hot Rods: Photo Gallery

Okay, we’ll admit it the weather is less than perfect, but a little rain never stopped a real street rodder from attending the “big event”, the NSRA Street Rod Nationals. And since these diehard street rodders managed to motor onto the Kentucky State Fairgrounds we figured the least we could do was go out and get wet with them.

Actually there is something very cool about images of hot rods in the rain, particularly when the rain is going to end by the end of the day and be followed by three days of picture perfect weather.

For our morning walk in the rain we focused on the pre-48 crowd, after all that is the group that got this whole Street Rod Nationals started in the first place. Trends we spotted are a continuation of recent years, it seems traditional hot rods are still the preferred style and even with the rain we spotted a large number of roadsters. Fords from 1928-40 dominate the pre-48 scene but there were plenty of Bow Tie rods and Mopars too.

While fenderless hot rods are still wildly popular we are also seeing more and traditional style hot rods of the full fendered variety. As the weather improves we’ll be adding a lot more photos to this gallery of great hot rods so stop back by to see what’s happening at the 46th Annual NSRA Street Rod Nationals in Louisville, Kentucky.
