2013 Toyota 4Runner

Pros: Utility and capability; wide selection of equipment options; optional third-row seat; comfortable cabin.

Cons: Truck-like feel on pavement; not the most fuel efficient; no optional V8, cramped third-row seat.

As many crossovers continue to flood the market many have become fluffy in an effort to appeal to vast audiences. The 4Runner however sticks to a more traditional work ethic and is built primarily for ruggedness and lasting durability.

It offers good power and impressive acceleration that is generated by a 4.0L V6 producing 270 horsepower and 278 lb.-ft. of torque. The V6 is mated to a smooth shifting 5-speed automatic transmission and offers a max towing capacity of 5000 lbs.

As with any other vehicles in this segment the 4Runner earns itself an “average” fuel economy rating that falls the mid-20’s.
