There is some big news for the 2014 Dodge Dart floating around the water cooler. Although it carries over from last year relatively unchanged, the more desirable 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine has now been made available to more trim levels. Last year it was only found on GT variants but this year it has been made standard on the SXT and Limited trims as well.
The 2014 Dodge Dart is offered in five well equipped trim levels- SE, SXT, Aero, Limited and GT.
Standard features in the entry level SE includes 16-inch steel wheels, power windows, a rear folding seat and a 4-speaker sound system with a CD player and auxiliary audio jack. Power mirrors and locks, air conditioning, cruise control, an auto dimming rearview mirror, Bluetooth and keyless entry are optional as part of the Convenience Package.
The Dart SXT gets 16-inch alloy wheels, auto on/off headlights, premium cloth upholstery and a 6-speaker sound system. It also gets most features from the Convenience Package.
Several packages can be added to your SXT. A Uconnect® Touch Screen package adds a rearview camera system, an 8.4-inch touch screen, an iPod®/USB interface, a USB port and a premium 9-speaker Alpine sound system. A Sun and Sound Package is also available that will add most features from the Uconnect® Touch Screen package plus a sunroof. An appearance package, dubed the Rallye Appearance Package, will add sporty features like 17-inch alloy wheels, sporty exterior trim pieces, dual exhaust tips, a sport-tuned suspension and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
The Dart Aero gets standard features from the SXT plus underbody aerodynamic treatments, bi-function halogen projector headlamps, LED racetrack headlamps, daytime running lamps, speed-sensitive power locks and an outside temperature display. It also gets low rolling resistance tires, a rearview camera and the an 8.4-inch touch screen with satellite radio.
The GT variants will add 18-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, unique exterior and interior treatments, a power-adjustable driver’s seat dual-zone automatic climate control and features from the Rallye Package. The Sun and Sound Package is optional on the GT but only adds the sunroof and the Alpine sound system.
