General Motors India sales have come down to 7067 vehicles in the month of December 2012 against 9039 units sold in the corresponding period last year.

said in a statement that despite offering various schemes on purchase of every car, market continues to remain depressed on account of various negative factors including high interest rates and poor economic conditions.
General Motors India has completed 16 years of operation in India and offers products under the Chevrolet brand, which was introduced in India in 2003. Last year, about 4.76 million Chevrolets were sold in more than 140 countries.
He said that if the current macro economic uncertainties continue, the market is not expected to turn around in the short term. The only hope now is on a good union budget to address some of the concerns of the industry combined with the announcement of some positive measures to bolster the economic recovery.
