Heading into an exciting programme with a new-look team and coaching personnel, KIA Magic memberships featuring seven home games spread across three venues are now on sale for the 2014 ANZ Championship netball season.
The only New Zealand side to have won the trans-Tasman trophy in the six years of the competition, the Waikato/Bay of Plenty team is confident of increasing its popular local support across the home venues.
Four games will be hosted at Claudelands, in Hamilton, the first against Southern Steel on March 17 being Kia Magic’s first home game of the season. Claudelands will also hosts fixtures against Central Pulse (April 7), Northern Mystics (April 20) and Queensland Firebirds (June 2).
Kia Magic will host West Coast Fever (March 30) and Canterbury Tactix (May 19) at ASB Baypark, Tauranga and the Adelaide Thunderbirds at Rotorua Events Centre on April 27.
Kia Magic offer an exciting blend of experience and youthful talent in their 2014 edition. Silver Ferns defenders Casey Kopua and Leana de Bruin are at the top end of the experience category while England shooter Jo Harten, fellow shooter Ellen Halpenny, seasoned midcourters Grace Rasmussen and Courtney Tairi and well-peformed defender Bessie Manu provide a proven and reliable solid core.
With talented youngsters Brooke Leaver, Malia Paseka, Jamie-Lee Price and Samantha Sinclair in their ranks, the up-and-coming quartet is expected to make a significant presence as the season progresses.
